Our Distribution System Operator will be staging a series of autumn events offering people the opportunity to shape the future of the distribution system.

Electricity Futures is a programme of focused stakeholder sessions exploring how our DSO strategy is being delivered in practice.

The online series kicks off on Thursday 15 October with DSO Managing Director Cathy McClay outlining strategic direction and priorities and how the strategy is being implemented.

Later that day, a second session will bring network planning and operations together to show how decisions made for tomorrow connect with how we manage the network today.

On Tuesday 20 October, there will be a Local Energy Planning Peer Exchange session aimed at local authorities and those involved in local area planning, exploring lessons learned, common challenges and good practice.

On Wednesday 21 October, we’ll share where our flexibility markets are developing, examples of flexibility in action, and how network needs are shaping future opportunities.

The final session on Thursday 22 October, will focus on turning network data into decisions and explore what we are doing next to make our information easier to access and use.

Throughout the series, we’ll share what we’re delivering, the value it is creating and the challenges we still need to solve. Most importantly, there will be opportunities for stakeholders to ask questions, challenge our thinking and tell us what they need from us next.
